Tutus, Tickles, and other Tidbits

There hasn't been any exciting news happening around here lately, but we just wanted to share about what we've been up to these days.

Callie still seems to be enjoying attending preschool. While Callie's at school, Jude will take a morning nap for a couple hours, and I have a chance to tidy up a little and then sit down with Zane to play with his cars or read books together. I feel like I haven't gotten to spend much quality time with just Zane because the older two are usually off playing or fighting over toys or a combination of both. Until now. I guess I just have a special place in my heart for my sweet middle child, perhaps because I too, am a middle child. I empathize with getting lost in the middle and unconsciously craving attention and rarely getting it. Anyhow, since Callie's been off at school I feel like I've really gotten to know my little boy a little better and have had the chance to notice things that I've overlooked simply because my attention is divided between three little ones. Like he'll actually ask me to play with him. "Mommy, sit." (when he wants me to sit and play cars with him.) "On your yap." (when he wants to sit in my lap and read books with me or just play.) And "Mommy, play!" I mean seriously, who can resist that?

Callie is as girlie as ever and still loves to play dress-up. I was able to find some tulle on their version of Amazon over here, so I made her a no-sew tutu. I made a red-and-white one in honor of Jeremy's alma mater and my "home and native land." She loves it.

Callie also loves playing with Jude. Here is a video of her tickling him. I know I'm biased, but I think his laugh is so precious. Be sure to tell me if you agree.

And Jude is just growing like crazy (I think he's looking more and more like Jeremy) and has been working on his crawling skills for about a couple weeks now. Here's a video of him attempting to do that. He seems more content since he's been able to get around on his own!

Love the tutu! I need to get that tutorial from you. We are ALL about the tutus and princess dresses around here :) Being the oldest child, I strive not to put too much responsibility on MY oldest. Funny how our childhood birth order dictates parenthood, isn't it? Hope to see you guys soon!
