The Juniper Tree and other Thai memories

We stayed at a place called The Juniper Tree for the 7 weeks we were in Chiang Mai. We made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun while waiting for Zane to be born and all the paperwork to be done. Here are some pictures to help highlight our time there.

Callie's first time riding in a shopping cart. She LOVED it - can you tell?!

We sure miss getting to hang out at the pool on any given day.

Smoothie Blues was our favorite restaurant hands-down. Last summer when we were in Chiang Mai, Callie didn't know how to drink from a straw. Now, we have to fight her off to keep her from drinking our entire smoothies!

We're starting off her caffeine addiction young... just kidding, it was empty.

Gonggong & Popo

Grandpa and Grandma Wong, or more affectionately referred to as Gonggong and Popo, came to visit for 3 of the 7 weeks that we were in Thailand. It was a sweet time for us, especially for Callie, since the previous time she'd seen them she was only a month old. It took her the first two weeks to warm up to them - I wish it hadn't taken that long! - but once she did, she had a blast. She got a lot of practice walking with them, and just enjoying the grounds of the Juniper Tree. One of the only words she knows how to say now is "Popo" and I love that when we talk on Skype video, she recognizes them. We miss you, Gonggong and Popo!

They came bearing many gifts, mostly for Callie and "Didi" (little brother).

They would sing to her as they pushed her in the swing

...and of course, more practice walking. On her way to walking on her own hopefully soon...
